Water reserves in Spain rise well and are 75% full
Water reserves in Spain rose to 75% of capacity this week, with 490 million cubic metres of water added by rain in March and melting snow. The reservoirs now contain 41,347 million cubic metres of water, far more than the average for the past decade. Especially the north of Spain, such as the Basque Country and Cantabria, has good levels, while the south-east, especially around the Segura (Murcia and Alicante), lags behind with only 28% filled. Despite the improved situation, experts warn of the effects of climate change and call for wise water management for the future.

New mysterious Spanish Netflix series the gardener or ‘El Jardinero’.
Netflix continues to invest in Spanish series, releasing the suspenseful psychological thriller El Jardinero on 11 April. Álvaro Rico, known from Élite, plays the mysterious gardener with a dark past. He comes to work at a luxury estate, but it soon emerges that he is carrying a secret full of violence, guilt and revenge. The series revolves around his hidden past and the oppressive atmosphere surrounding him. El Jardinero explores how the past can continue to haunt someone. From 11 April 2025 on Netflix.
