What you probably don't know is that it is part of a longer nine-day festival in honour of Saint Fermin. There are other bull runs, but this is the most famous. Elsewhere, there is La Tomatina, the biggest food fight in the world. It started in 1945 when someone started throwing tomatoes at his friends. It was banned in the 1950s,but was reinstated in 1957.
